Overview

DUE TO SEVERE FLOODING ON STAGE 2 WE WILL WALK STAGE 3 THIS MONTH.

STAGE 2 WILL NOW TAKE PLACE ON 17 MAY 2024.

We continue on the Thames Path National Trail from Culham Lock passing Clifton Lock and  Days Lock to the A423 where at The Kingfisher we catch the X40 bus to Reading and the train home. Bring lunch and a drink.

The walk starts at Culham Lock. If travelling by public transport catch the GWR train at Slough 09:26, Maidenhead 09:32, Reading 09:55 to reach Didcot at 10:22. If travelling from Burnham or Taplow catch an earlier train to Reading to connect with the 09:55 train to Didcot. At Didcot we transfer to a number 33 bus 10:52 to Culham High street (11.14) which is very near the lock. There is time at Didcot to use the facilities and purchase a hot drink before we board the 33 bus.
