Overview

The walk is within the Howardian Hills ‘National Landscape’ (formerly ‘area of outstanding natural beauty’) and starts on field paths before and after crossing Cram Beck. At the top of Hutton Hill the route goes north to High Gaterley and then continues in the same direction until it meets the southern boundary of Easthorpe. A good track then leads to Bog Hall, Ray Wood and The Temple at Castle Howard. Ultimately, the route brings us back to the bottom of Church Lane in Welburn.
