Hello $forename$

Join us on a volunteer development day to develop your skills and meet other volunteers

Each day, Ramblers volunteers like you give their time, knowledge and skills to help everyone everywhere enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. You make everything we achieve at the Ramblers possible. That’s why we’re running a programme of free volunteer development days across England, Scotland and Wales.

The day offers the opportunity to share and discuss your ideas with other volunteers, and provides training to help you develop your skills and expertise. We run full day, morning and afternoon workshops. From leading walks to managing group and area finances or from basics of rights of way to recruiting volunteers there’s a workshop for everyone.

‘I have attended 3 Volunteer Development Days, in different workshops, and apart from learning something new each time, it was a great opportunity to meet staff and other volunteers. The opportunity to exchange ideas and hear examples of best practice has been a great help in running both my Group and the Area. I’d recommend these days to everyone. There’s a relevant workshop for everyone’s role, either as a refresher or a new skill, it will make your volunteering more effective and more fun. It’s all free and well worth that time investment.’

The events are absolutely free and take place all over England, Scotland and Wales - so the chances are there'll be one near you. The days run from 9.30am to 4pm with lunch and light refreshments provided.
