We teamed up with Wainwright beer to celebrate the most rewarding trails across Britain – the ones that make that refreshing pint at the end feel truly well earned.

As part of this, we asked you to share your own Worth the Walk routes – the ones with views, moments, or memories that made every step worthwhile. From golden-hour summits to coastal horizons, your entries captured the true spirit of walking and proved that every great route deserves a great pint of award-winning Wainwright at the finish.

Here’s a round up of some of our favourites.

Your Worth the Walk moments

Five lucky winners have now been chosen and each received a stash of Wainwright Gold, along with signature pint glasses featuring a fell map of the Lake District – the perfect way to toast their next walking adventure.

After seeing your favourites, here’s a recap of Wainwright’s top Worth the Walk routes.

Wainwright rewarding walks

Lake District, was from Glenridding to the summit of Helvellyn

The first route, in Alfred Wainwright’s beloved Lake District, was from Glenridding to the summit of Helvellyn, England's third highest peak. It’s a challenging but unforgettable walk, best saved for good weather, passing rushing waterfalls, a ruined mine, and sweeping views across the surrounding Wainwright Fells. After your descent, enjoy a refreshing pint of Wainwright Gold at The Travellers Rest – the perfect finish to a big day out. View a video of this walk here.

the rolling hills of the Cotswolds for gentle loop through the countryside

Next, we took you to the rolling hills of the Cotswolds for gentle loop through the countryside beginning and ending in the market town of Tetbury. Wander past dry stone walls, ancient trees and postcard-perfect villages. With scenic views and peaceful paths, it’s full of rural charm. Once you’re back in town, head to The Ormond in the town centre for a pint of Wainwright Gold, to toast a job well done! See how the walk looked in this video

The Peak District

The Peak District was our next stop, taking in a spectacular range of landscapes in between. Along the way, discover moorland, craggy edges, ancient woodland, and gentle riversides – a route packed with contrast and natural beauty. Round it off back at The Fox House with a refreshing pint of Wainwright – the perfect post walk reward. Take a look at the walk here.
