A leisurely 10 mile perambulation including the woodland of Allerthorpe Common and part of the Pocklington Canal. Pub stop at lunch. No hills. Minor roads, bridleways, some stiles and a canal bank.

A leisurely, 7+3 mile, figure-of-eight winter wander from RSPB Old Moor, initially following the TPT to the River Dove, then Netherwood Country Park, Wombwell Ings and Gypsy Marsh, using permissive and countryside footpaths and some urban pavements. Lunch stop cafe and facilities at RSPB Old Moor. The short afternoon stretch will take in Manvers Waterfront and the River Dearne.

A leisurely 9 miles in mostly familiar territory. Starting at the Buttercross the first loop takes us west along footpaths, tracks and quiet lanes towards Stainton. We then head southeast and northeast in semicircle back to Tickhill and a pub stop. The second loop takes us through the housing estate east towards Tickhill Low Common, and back. A walk for all abilities.

The first part is through the nature reserve to the River Aire towpath leading to Allerton Bywater. From there, we cross fields reaching Ledsham village for lunch and pub stop at The Chequers Inn. After lunch, we walk to Fairburn and back into the nature reserve, walking behind the main lake from the east and returning to the car park. Bring binoculars if you have them: plenty of wildlife on view. For anyone who wishes, there is an opportunity to return to the car park/bird sanctuary after 5 miles.

The route follows the Chesterfield Canal past Wiseton and south around Clayworth, then, after leaving the canal, it turns north to Gringley on the Hill and returns to Drakeholes along the Cuckoo Way. Lunch and pub stop at Gringley.
