Through Gatcombe to Berryhill, then over Chillerton Down (170m) and back to Carisbrooke Castle. Picnic lunch.

Well this walk does promise to be mud free for a change. This Sunday morning walk will include a coffee stop at the Breeze, Island Harbour on the Medina (weather permitting) and short stop at Whippingham Station.

Yes folks: it is David Howarth's birthday, and there is cake all round! But only when you finish the six mile walk, following the Warrior Trail, which leaves Mottistone Manor, goes up to the Longstone and then follows downs and coast, and finally brings you back to the car park, suitably hungry. Picnic lunch.
