Leisurely 7.3 miles / 11.7 km (Estimated finish time: 13:15)
Meet outside The Drill Hall, Fishergate, The Quay, Sandwich. (Parking in pay and display car park opposite. Toilets also available). The walk will follow the English Coastal Path northwards towards Shellness Point and the mouth of the River Stour where there is a protected area which houses a bird reserve. After being in the countryside up until now, Sandwich Bay suddenly looms before us. Our walk then takes us along the beach and dunes towards Princes Golf Club and then inland across the Royal St George’s golf course back to Sandwich. Meet at the Dover Patrol Memorial car park. This will will be 10 miles but can be taken as a Figure of 8 walk (7 and 3 miles) as we will not be be far from the start at one point. Lunch will be bring your own, or the option of the Pines Gardens Tea Rooms, Coastguard Pub or The Kiosk on the Bay.

To the Lighthouse. Meeet at Broadlees Bottom car park (near The Bleriot Memorial). Walk to South Forland Lighthouse before returning along the White Cliffs.

Meet by The Jackdaw Inn. You may use the pub car park if you intend to eat at the pub at lunchtime. Otherwise it may be possible to park at the village hall on the opposite side of the road. This is a figure of 8 walk. In the morning we will head south, down a lovely valley. A shorter walk in the afternoon heading eastwards via Wooton. Maximum of 20 places. Meet at Hollingbourne Station. This attractive walk takes us through the Hucking woodland estate with the animal carvings then through the Leeds castle estate before returning to Hollingbourne station. Bring a packed lunch.

Jubilee Walk. Meet on the station concourse adjacent to Caffé Nero. (If using the north Kent line into Victoria use the Underground District / Circle line to Embankment the walk short distance to Charing X. The route will take in three parts of the Jubilee Walk (the Western Loop, City Loop and Eastern Loop) visiting a number of London's iconic landmarks along the way. Lunch stop en route, either bring your own or purchase refreshments from a café. Anyone wishing to cut short the walk, there are plenty of public transport services to do so. Oare Marshes, the Swale and Luddenham Meet outside the Castle Inn, 2 The St, Oare. (Free on street parking). We will follow the Oare Creek (part of the Saxon Shore Way) northwards into the Oare Marshes Nature Reserve. When we reach the Swale there are wonderful marsh and estuary views, with the Isle of Sheppey across the water. This next stretch of the walk westwards along the Swale is particularly remote. When we reach Fowley Island we head inland and walk through small villages and past orchards and farms back to Oare. There will be a 30 minute lunch break at Deerton Natural Burial Ground. Please bring a packed lunch. Maximum of 20 people (including the leader and back marker). Meet at the community centre. The route goes via Arping and the North Downs Way to Lyminge, where we stop for a break and refreshments. Our return is via Shuttlefield and Paddlesworth. Fine views of the English Channel and Elham Valley.
