We are the Kingswood Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
10:30 am: four-mile circular walk***
Join fellow members of local Ramblers groups for a social walk, led by Kingswood Ramblers.
Meet: 10:20 am in the free community centre car park.
(Toilets available inside the community centre).
We will head to Avon Valley Woodlands Nature Reserve for a gentle fairly level 4-mile walk, through the woods and along the River Avon pathway, taking in some of the history and rich heritage of the local area, including Hanham Colliery.
Walking boots are advisable, and walking poles would be helpful for a couple of sections of the walk which are likely to be muddy. Please bring a change of footwear for going indoors for the buffet and AGM.
There is no need to book but walk leader Roberta (mobile: 07954 565807) can be contacted if you need more information.
12:45 pm: Buffet – The Wessex Room, Hanham Community Centre***
Do come along to meet fellow Ramblers from local groups, and to find out more about local and national Ramblers activities.
No need to book. Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options provided and labelled.
1:30 pm: Area AGM – The Wessex Room, Hanham Community Centre***
AGM papers will be supplied at the AGM.
2:00 pm: Talk by Ramblers trustee Tina Lewis***
