On Tues 27th August Natural England published details of their proposed East Cowes to Wootton England Coast Path route. A large part of this proposal runs inland alongside busy roads. The General Public and Landowners now have an 8 week consultation period to make representations or objections to Natural England. (Details available at www.iowramblers from Wed 3rd Sept).
IOW Ramblers have identified practical truly coastal off-road route options. So, over 3-4 weekends in September we are organising friendly placard 'pickets' (5-15 supporters) at the Main Gate to Osborne House to help raise awareness about this issue.
Dates so far Sat 6th, 13th, & 20th Sept - 10.30 am to 12.00 noon
