Overview

Well I do realise my walks seem to be getting increasingly and unintentionally food-based ! However this aspect is obviously not compulsory – just come for the walk (or indeed, just for the food…) if you wish. This particular ramble has been inspired by one of our members who volunteers at the Old School Café in Brading, a community cafe which is open on Mondays and Thursdays each week, and I thought it might be nice to check out and support the cafe, combined with a nice autumn walk.

The precise route has yet to be decided and recced, this listing will be updated in due course so please check back nearer the time. But it will be a circular walk starting at Brading carpark, likely length approx 5 miles.

The aim is to start at 9.30am , walk for a couple of hours, and reach the café at approx 11.30am in time to have something to drink / eat if you wish. Apparently as well as their bacon butties,  they do delicious homemade cakes etc.

The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors, including the weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken (and on this occasion, the amount of cake eaten)  The cafe closes at 1.00pm.

Toilets (free – I will check nearer the time that they are open) in Brading carpark
