Join us for a cliff top picnic lunch at Sewerby, before heading in to Sewerby Hall and Gardens for free time to explore the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, zoo and gardens, all at your leisure. This year is the 61st International Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition and the exhibition of winning photos is on loan from the Natural History Museum. Entry to the exhibition is included in a day pass ticket to Sewerby Hall and Gardens, which can be purchased online, or on the day from one of the ticket booths at entry points to the park. Tickets cost £13 last year and are expected to be similar for 2026.
This social follows on from a 5.5 mile circular walk in the morning, starting at 10.00am from Sewerby (see the linked walk). The walk is expected to finish at about 1.00pm, when we will start our picnic lunch on the cliff top. Please bring a packed lunch for the picnic. If you are just joining for the social and not the walk, then please be aware this is an estimated start time, as it will depend on the speed of the group.
- Please meet just outside the ticket booth on the cliff top at Sewerby for the picnic lunch. After the picnic, we will head back in to the grounds, which can be explored at your leisure.
- There is a car park at Sewerby Hall and Gardens, which is free for customers entering the park.
- There are toilets and a café in the park.
- Please note that dogs are not allowed in the zoo or the house, but are allowed in the grounds at Sewerby.
