Join us for a walk in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside!
The Hertfordshire & North London Walks Fest takes place this year in Knebworth on Saturday 11 October.
There will be several group walks of various distances to choose from, led by experienced walk leaders from the different Ramblers Groups across our Area.
Walks will start at different times throughout the morning and afternoon.
See ‘Associated Walks’ for further details of each walk as they are announced.
After the walks, there is the chance to meet other walkers for refreshments and conversation at Knebworth Village Hall (a few minutes' walk from Knebworth station) where we will enjoy a cream tea from 3pm onwards.
It’s a great opportunity to walk and chat with members from different Ramblers Groups and with new people.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Knebworth and the surrounding area is perfect for varied countryside walks. The larger village alongside the railway gives access to the original settlement, now known as Old Knebworth, which sits alongside Knebworth Park - the location of the 12th-century church and Knebworth House, an impressive Gothic manor.
The park is home to herds of deer and has hosted numerous music festivals, with performers including Pink Floyd, Queen, Oasis and Robbie Williams. Several public footpaths cross the rolling parkland.
Beyond the park, Knebworth Woods are an ecologically-diverse Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
The surrounding countryside features gentle hills, hedgerows, streams, arable fields and further woodland. Graffidge Wood, renowned for its stunning bluebell season, is captivating all year round.
Well-marked paths make the area very accessible for walkers, mixing natural beauty, history, and tranquil rural charm. Meanwhile, the modern village boasts several shops, cafés and the community-owned Station pub, making Knebworth an attractive destination.
