There will be a coach outing to Stourhead, hopefully we will be able to enjoy some of the beautiful autumn colours that Stourhead is famous for.
There are 3 options available to you:
• A long walk of approximately 7 miles from Stourhead to Mere and back via White Sheet Hill
• A shorter walk of 6 miles up to Alfred’s Tower and back via Six Wells Bottom
• Do your own thing - enjoy the autumn colours in the gardens
You do not need to be a National Trust member to enjoy either of the walks or to use the café. However to get into Stourhead gardens you will need to be a NT member or pay an entry fee. This is not included in the price.
Please bring your own picnic lunch. Refreshments are not included in the price.
There is a National Trust cafe by the car park, and also the Spread Eagle Tavern at the bottom of the hill in Stourton.
The cost of the trip is £10 per person and places will be booked on a first come, first received basis. It will initially be restricted to members of TDR. There may be space for guests if we don’t fill all the seats.
The closing date for bookings is Wednesday 17 September (or earlier once all coach seats are booked!). We will be unable to refund a booking once paid, unless another person can fill that place.
