Another chance to fly a 2-seat glider at the Wolds Gliding Club, Pocklington (with a qualified Instructor, of course!)
We start the evening with a briefing at 6:00pm before heading out to take winch launches to 1000ft. Your instructor will do the take-off and landing, and demonstrate that an engine is not absolutely necessary to fly! They will let you have a go controlling the aircraft if you wish. The flight should last around 5-10 mins depending on the conditions and will allow aerial views of Pocklington and the Wolds.
The cost is £26pp for your first flight and an additional £16 if you would like a second flight. We keep flying until everyone has had enough, or it gets dark!
Spectators are also welcome, there is no pressure to fly.
Afterwards we will have a drink and a bring to share(?) picnic at the clubhouse.
If anyone might like to camp at the club campsite or stay in a bunk room before the Pocklington-Millington walk the following day, please let me know in advance.

Exit A1079 at the Shell Garage roundabouts and head towards Pocklington town along Hodsow Lane. Wolds Gliding Club entrance is 1st left as the road curves (look out for the Windsock!)
