This is a circular walk
This walk follows mostly Offa’s Dyke path, which offers two options in parallel from near Brockweir to Bigsweir. After reaching Offa’s Dyke path from The Park car park, we will follows the path on the old hill route toward St Briavels Common until about a mile after Bigsweir bridge. Then, we will head east away from Offa’s Dyke path into a valley and up to St Briavels, where we will stop for lunch. We rejoin (the alternative) Offa’s Dyke path along winding bank of the river Wye in the afternoon, back to the car park. It is a gentle A walk although the total ascent is about 2700 feet.
