A hard walk but the views are worth it – Heath and moorland with rounded, glacially formed hills, cut by steep-sided valleys, with views across the Shropshire hills. This route climbs up the Carding Mill Valley to the north of The Long Mynd, returning on The Long Mynd's south side. Voted in 2018 one of Britain's 100 favourite walks.
