Start time: 10:15
Leisurely 6 miles / 9.7 km
The start of the walk is from the dead end section of St. Annes Road Chertsey (runs parallel to the A320 - plenty of free parking at the far end) access to St Annes Road is on the left just before joining the A320 (Chertsey Lane) after coming straight all the way through Chertsey from Chertsey Bridge or coming from Staines on the A320 after turning towards Chertsey 200 yds before the roundabout then the turning is immediately on the right. A delightful local walk discovering unknown (to me) footpaths through and around Chertsey incorporating the now defunct Laleham golf course and see the new flood defence works that have at last been started. Two and a half hours walking time mainly off road so about 6 miles maximum with a pub stop for lunch at the Coach and Horses in Chertsey close to the end of the walk.
