A walk which shocases the best in English countryside: traditional brick and flint villages, rolling hills, green valleys, woodland and an ancient windmill. We will also pass by the famous Cobstone Mill overlooking the quientessential Chilterns village of Turville.
The Mill and the village have featured in many TV programmes and movies, including Nanny McPhee, The Vicar of Dibley, Midsomer Murders, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Goodnight Mr. Tom and 101 Dalmatians. Shortly after we will stop to enjoy a drink at The Bull and Butcher pub in Turville.
There will be plenty of lovely scenery to enjoy as we pass over rolling hills and through beautiful woodlands on our way back to Ibstone. Please bring a packed lunch.
Parking is available at the following places: on Ibstone Road next to Ibstone Common and Ibstone cricket pitch (please park fully on the Road and not on the grass verge); a lay-by directly opposite the club house for the Ibstone cricket club in Gray's Lane.
