From the car park we head south and then south west from Avington park to No Man's Land and onto Magdalen Hill Down, then follow the SDW into Winchester. At Winnal Moors Nature Reserve we take a northerly heading along St Swithun's Way to King's Worthy. The return then takes us east along the Itchen Valley and Martyr Worthy.

This is a circular walk
With the exception of Magdalen Hill Down the walk is fairly flat with no stiles. Lunch stop will be along the River itchen near the Mill in Winchester.
