This is a circular walk
This is a varied walk following the edge of the Cotswolds at various heights. There are no major ascents but our route goes up and down quite a lot. There should be good views and spring flowers. We will start in Hawkesbury Upton and descend the wooded scarp slope to Hawkesbury church. From there we go to Orange End and across Inglestone Common. Then up to the village of Hillesley and from there north to Wotton-under- Edge, with pubs and cafes for lunchtime refreshment. Our return route will take us east and then south, passing Holywell, Newark Park, Ozleworth Bottom and Tresham. From Tresham we will walk along three Cotswold valleys before climbing back up to Hawkesbury Upton.
Give us a try!
This is one of hundreds of Ramblers group walks for all ages and abilities every week - all led by our experienced walk leaders.
You’re welcome to join us on any of our walks to see if the Ramblers is for you. Then, once you’ve enjoyed the views, fun, exhilaration and good company, it’s just a case of becoming a member.
Do make sure you're fit enough and have the right footwear and clothing for the walk you want to do, though. You can contact the group or leader if in doubt.
