Thames Path walk stage 13: Old Windsor to Walton Bridge

Stage 13 of our series of coach walks following The Thames Path: Both walks start at Old Windsor and in a mile we reach Runnymede. We will visit the monument that commemorates the sealing of the Magna Carta in 1215. After this lovely grassy section our route becomes more urban so more paved surfaces. We go under the M25 to reach Staines then Laleham, on under the M3 and Chertsey Bridge. The shorter walk finishes here (7.5 miles). The longer walk continues by the river and in 2 miles reaches Shepperton Lock and the ferry across to the Weybridge bank and on to Walton Bridge (10.5).

This coach walk starts in Fareham: 3 pick-up points [Stubbington Red Lion 07:45; Fareham West Street 07:55 and Portchester Red Lion 08:05]. Coach fare £11.50 payable in advance - contact walk leader to book. Note: these pick-ups times may change befroe June.

This is a linear walk
We are walking on the towing path - generally good underfoot although it may be a wet and muddy in places. No stiles on the riverside path. There should be either a pub or cafe at the finish point. Limited facilities such as toilets along the route. The journey down the River Thames continues: 1 September and 6 October
