Cadair Berwyn is the highest mountain in Wales outside Snowdonia N. P. with panoramic views across England & Wales from the summit. It is not a difficult climb as the path ascends gradually towards the lake below the summit; a steeper short section leads to the top of the headwall. Return includes the top of the Pistyll Rhaeder waterfall, the highest in Wales with a cascade over a 80m, 73m sheer drop. Steps lead down to tea rooms below the falls 200 m from the walk start. Total ascent of 715m.
Forge Retail Park CP, FRP. Near the back wall of the CP, next to the green fire assembly point and opposite Furniture Village.
Small CP in lay by in lane before Pistyll Rhaeadr unnamed road near Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant.
