Kingsclere and the Wayfarer's Walk
Saturday, 24 August 2019
Start time: 10:00
(Estimated finish time: 18:00)
Strenuous 18.5 miles / 29.8 km
We start in the village of Kingsclere and head south over Freemantle Park Down, onto the Wayfarer’s Walk and across open countryside into North Oakley. From here we continue heading south on the Wayfarer’s Walk stopping for a picnic lunch before heading into Oakley for a drink stop. After this we continue across countryside and wooded areas and head over to Deane and onto our afternoon pub stop in the little village of Hannington. We head back into the countryside for the last section of the walk and back to Kingsclere.
The carpark is small with very limited on street parking so please could you all car share as much as possible. There is a shop near the car park if you need food or drink, but please remember to bring your packed lunch as this is a very rural walk and nowhere to buy food on the walk.
