Start time: 9:20
(Estimated finish time: 16:00)
Moderate 12.4 miles / 20 km
We will then walk from Carlops via North Esk Reservoir, Spittal Hill, Logan Burn and Castlelaw to Hillend and go for some well deserved refreshments at the pub then maybe more in town. See what the group thinks
If the weather behaves itself its a great walk for getting some miles in your legs for January.
It is about 20kms with nearly 500 metres of ascent so we should be done within 6 hours.
The terrain is really good for the most part with a bit of rougher terrain over Spittal Hill.
Should be a grand old day to beat the winter blues. If the weather is adverse then the walk maybe be changed or cancelled.
