We walk across Chapel Common and continue east joining the Sussex Border Path. The path through Hatch Fir takes us to Wardley Hanger and down to Home Farm. On to Wardley Farm and the mill to reach Milland for our lunch stop by the recreation ground. We return via Three Pond Wood and along to Trotton March before turning north to The Combe and Combe Pond. We ascend back to the start on an old trackway up the hanger.
A lovely mix of open land, some woodland with great views if clear.
Park on the rough lane North/left off the B2070 (the old A3) 0.3 mile east of Rake School. Note: the post code takes you down the road before out track!
