This is a circular walk
Covid 19 - Walkers must comply with following rules to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Walkers should not attend a walk if they are self-isolating and/or have Covid-19 symptoms.
Walkers must make their own way to the start of the walk as car sharing between households is not recommended.
Social distancing must be maintained at all times during the walk – this is the responsibility of all walkers, special care should be taken around stiles and gates, and at refreshment stops.
Walkers should not share food and drink, or equipment such as walking poles.
Each person is recommended to take hand sanitiser to use after touching gates/stiles. Common sense should be applied and the number of people touching gates should be minimised if possible.
Each person should bring their own medication and a basic first aid kit to take care of minor problems without asking for help from others.
Each person should make sure they carry an ICE card (In Case of Emergency) or equivalent giving details of someone to contact in the event of an accident.
Leaders will keep a record of everyone on the walk including their mobile tel number, in case this is needed for NHS contact tracing. This is done by using the standard Ramblers walk register filled in when taking bookings for the walk. These details will only be supplied if requested by an NHS contact tracer, and will be destroyed after 21 days. Ideally walkers should also be recorded on the Ramblers App at the start of the walk.
