(Estimated finish time: 16:00)
Strenuous 11 miles / 17.7 km
The walk will try & go around the Great Tor at beach level. We should arrive there about 30 minutes below low tide. Failure to negotiate the sea level route around Great Tor will result in a detour of approximately 2kms. The foot bridge across Nicholaston Pill has beeen removed temporarily. However provided the pill is not in spate crossing it towards the tide line is not likely to result in wet feet. We will return along the exposed OS marked footpath through Nicholaston Woods. The footpath is about 1m wide & has an unfenced drop of up to 30 m on 1 side. An alternative path exist through Nicholaston Burrows for those who suffer with vertigo. The paths merge before Nicholaston Farm & the swing tree where we could meet up again.
The walk is to be limited 15 walkers excluding the leader. Please book your place with Phil beforehand.
Please also familiarise yourself with the COVID restrictions in Wales at the time of the walk.
