Start time: 10:15
(Estimated finish time: 16:00)
Moderate 12 miles / 19.3 km
Rachel A and Alex Neely are leading a 12 mile moderate walk with some hills.
A register will be taken for the purposes of NHS Test and Trace.
This circular walk starts in the picturesque town of Chipping Campden (Chipping being the old English word for market or market place) and notably known for the wool merchant William Grevel, where is fine town house still survives today on the High Street.
After going over ‘Mickleton Tunnel’, we will be passing Hidcote Manor, where we will have a short coffee break on the benches by the car park to this National Trust property. (Please bring your own lunch and refreshments for this walk).
Our lunch break will be with the 12 apostles located in Ilmington and if we are lucky you may meet some friendly mice!
After lunch we will carry on with great views of the rolling countryside, to the village of Ebrington, then back to Chipping Campden where a well deserved (optional) drink can be purchased from the quaint Eight Bells Inn, which has a garden terrace with full sun if we are blessed with gorgeous weather.
Please arrive at 10:00 for a 10:15 start.
