Matt Millar has offered to lead a walk up Frandy Burn in Glen Devon. The walk will start from the car park at the foot of Glen Devon reservoir at 09:00hrs to ensure that there is sufficient parking. (Map Ref NN 941 044). Allow 1hour from Kirkintilloch. The walk on good tracks and farm roads is 14km long with 600m of ascent and should take about 5½hrs. The walk is limited to 10 cars so please contact Matt on 07563 708120 to book your place. Don’t forget to bring a face mask and hand sanitiser.
Directions: Travel up the M9 to the Gleneagles slip road and take the A 823 South to Glendevon for a couple of miles. Just before you get to Glendevon turn right at the Frandy Fisheries, it's quite a large turning, it says private road but I have been told it's OK to use. Travel on for about a half mile to the parking area at the foot of Glendevon Lower Reservoir.
