Sandon, Gayton, Fradswell and Milwich

A walk through the beautiful Staffordshire countryside starting at Sandon and walking through Sandon Church which dates back to1130 and with distance views of Sandon Hall and then passing The Trentham Tower which moved there in 1912 by Lord Harrowby, We then head on to the attractive Gayton Brook and onto Gayton Church. We then move onto Fradswell and a chance to see Fradswell Church which is attractively set amongst trees. We walk past whats left of the Wheatsheaf pub which dated back to the 15th or16th century which finally closed on 2000 and was struck by lightning and partially burnt out in 2011. Then we move onto the attractive village of Milwich. Milwich church was first recorded on site in 1140. We return to our start point through Sandon Wood and for some a well earned drink at the pub.
