Leisurely 5.5 miles / 8.8 km
This is a pleasant rural circular walk across fields and mainly on footpaths passing through the village of Fifield. This wedge of surviving countryside in the historic parish of Bray is surprisingly thinly populated, giving a feeling of remoteness despite its nearness to Maidenhead and Windsor. It may be muddy in parts so good sturdy footwear is essential. Bring a drink and snack.
COVID-19 Due to COVID-19, we all need to take extra steps to stay safe. Please follow all safety advice given by the walk leader, including the latest guidelines on physical distancing. For more information about COVID-19 and Ramblers group walks, please see our guidance for walkers on the coronavirus pages of the Ramblers website.
Please note that a record of attendance and contact details will be taken and destroyed after 21 days. We will only use contact information you provide to get in touch about the walk or to share if requested with NHS Test and Trace.
Meet by the war memorial on Holyport Green. It is usually possible to park by the wall of the nursing home on the green. As parking is limited car share if possible.
