Start time: 10:00
(Estimated finish time: 14:00)
Moderate 8.3 miles / 13.4 km
This woodland walk encompasses Harrisons Rocks and Eridge Rocks (both impressive limestone formations), a huge wheatfield, the Broadwater Warren RSPB nature reserve and passes the lovely Groombridge Place. The path past Harrison's Rocks is quite overgrown so long trousers recommended. There will be a picnic stop at the High Rocks (Spa Valley railway station) and it may be possible to pop into the High Rocks pub next door for a quick drink.
The walk starts and ends outside the historic Crown pub in Groombridge, which could be booked for a post walk Sunday roast. Alternatively the Junction Inn (about 600 metres away) does pizzas.
There are a small number of car parking spaces outside or very close to The Crown but please allow time to walk from the village centre (about 400 metres away) where there are more spaces.
Directly in front of The Crown Inn.
