Interesting and varied walk from Melrose.
Climb up to the Roman signal station of Trimonteum (one of the Eildons) then descend following St Cuthberts trail to Bowden and then on to the Tweed. Then head north to Old Melrose, go throygh the old roman camp site and return along the river Tweed to Melrose Abbey
