Strenuous 9 miles / 14.5 km
Chris is leading a 9, 14 or 21 mile Strenuous walk.
A register will be taken for the purposes of NHS Test and Trace.
This walk will follow The Yorkshire Coastal path north from Scarborough and involve returning on The hourly X93 bus service to the idyllic and picturesque village of Robin Hoods Bay famous for amongst other things where The Housemartins and their predecessor The Beautiful South went to escape their hometown of Hull to write and practice their songs. If you're feeling really energetic you can traverse on to Whitby, another beautiful and quaint town notable for its old town, harbour and ruined Abbey with its links to The Dracula novels. Furthermore there is the beginner's option of just walking to the village of Crowdon and coming back on the X93 bus . There are plenty of cheap hotels to book yourself into in Scarborough to access the walk on The Friday and Saturday nights, meals and drinks out will also be organised on these nights.
1. Crowdon (linear walk and X93 back) 9 miles
2. Robin Hoods Bay (linear walk and X93 back) 14 miles
3. Whitby (linear walk and X93 back) 21 miles
