Beadnell, with Tea at John Shaw’s Cottage

Join us on our traditional annual visit to John's cottage with tea & games in the garden after the walks.

The longer walk is 8 miles and the shorter walk is 5.25 miles. We will all walk around the impressive castle before continuing along the beach to the lunch stop. We will all have lunch together before those on the shorter walk head inland and back towards Bamburgh.

The longer walk will continue along the coast to Seahouses and then turn inland to head back to the start.

Additionally, this year, John welcomes those who would like to visit Beadnall for a coffee and a short stroll near his home while the main walks are taking place.

Starting point

The Links Road car park is South of Bamburgh Castle on the left-hand side of the B1340 road to Seahouses, just before you leave the 30 mph limit. The nearest postcode is NE69 7AX but is not accurate see map. Note - The car park charge is £4 per car all day. Card-only payment. Car sharers £5 per person to the driver please as the journey is well over 30 minutes. Start time: 10:45
