Start time: 10:00
(Estimated finish time: 16:15)
Moderate 12.5 miles / 20.1 km
A leisurely long walk in the heart of the Trossachs National Park circumnavigating Loch Venachar. There is an intial short fairly steep ascent as we make our way through woodland, thereafter the terrain is a mix of clear paths, mountain bike tracks and "walker friendly" minor roads. Highlights include wildlife (this is red squirrel territory), an iron age fort, a film set, a goat farm (selling ice cream), and hopefully some great views of Ben Venue and Ben Ledi.
Starting point
The car park is signed Lendrick Hill. There is usually plenty of parking at this location.
It is just over a mile after Brig o' Turk on the A821 going towards Kilmahog.

Additional notes
This is a circular walk
There are toilets at the Lendrick Hill car park.
Please bring a picnic, snacks and plenty of water. Icecream probably available at mile 11!
All participants must contact the Leader in advance by email, text or phone call, but not more than two weeks before the walk. They should provide the Leader with a mobile phone number so that, if necessary, they can be contacted on the day of the walk or earlier; this is helpful in case the walk has to be cancelled or arrangements changed at short notice.
Walkers should bear in mind the Covid guidelines as they apply on the day of the walk, including those for travelling by public transport; they should not come on the walk if they have any symptoms associated with the virus. Bring hand sanitiser, a face mask (in case you have to get close to someone), and a small first aid kit so that you can self treat if necessary.
Walkers should carry an "in case of emergency" card with contact details.
