Melrose circular

Group Eildon Ramblers

Grade walk 11mls./19km. Asc 1100ft/335m

From Melrose we will walk to the Leaderfoot viaduct then on to Eildon Village. From there we will walk to Bowden village via the Bowden burn. We will stop to look at Bowden Kirk whose origins date back over 900 years.

From Bowden we will pick up the St Cuthberts way, over the saddle of the Eildons and back down to Melrose.

Study boots and poles recommended as it can be muddy after heavy rain.

There will be 2 stops fo coffee and for lunch.

This will be a 25 person walk including Lorna (Walk Leader) and Kate (back marker)
