From start in Lanthwaite Wood car park (Scalehill Bridge) walk South through wood bearing right to Crummock Water then take the stony Eastern shoreline between Crummock and Melbreak. Turn up the grassy slope, to reach the other side of Melbreak then take the gentle descent, on grass track, down the length of Melbreak. Finally, a descending woodland path and quiet minor road return you to the start.
A total of 800ft of ascent.
Meet at 9.45am, ready to start the walk at 10am.
