The walk mainly follows the path of the 1066 Country Path through the Sussex Weald. It passes through the villages of Catsfield and Netherfield, among fields and woodland with a small amount of road walking. If time, there will be a pub stop for refreshments.
Please bring a packed lunch.
It is intended that the walk will finish with time available for a visit to Battle Abbey (English Heritage), if you wish. There are a number of pubs and restaurants in Battle High Street for drinks or food at the end of the walk.
Trains back towards London leave at 7 minutes and 47 minutes past the hour.
