Cotswolds - 12 Miles

Saturday, 18 June 2022

Start time: 10:30
(Estimated finish time: 16:00)

Moderate 12 miles / 19.3 km

Group Black Country Young Walkers

Rachel A and Alex Neely are leading a 12 mile moderate walk.

The walk will take us over hilltops, through verdant fields and shaded woodlands to the beautiful Cotswold villages of Stanton, Laverton, Buckland, Snowshill, Taddington, Cutsdean and Stanway.

As we pass through each of these Cotswold villages you will see why film crews flock the area for the perfect backdrop for period dramas and movies.

Please bring your own lunch and refreshments. Note there are no toilets during the walk but there could be a potential pub stop in Snowshill, time and agreement permitting.

As Snowshill is known for farming lavendar and in June the lavendar will be in flower we should see glorious fields of purple as we walk past the National Trust property, Snowshill Manor. We could take a small detour to the family run lavendar farm there for a well deserved ice cream.

Please arrive at 10:15 for a 10:30 start.
