The walk begins by crossing Trendlebeare Down down into Yarner Wood passing the Bovey pottery leat and Yarner copper mine. We then climb back up to meet the granite Templer tramway that we follow towards Haytor Vale and Haytor. Then passing prehistoric hut circles and burial mounds, we cross the moors towards Smallacombe rocks and Black Hill to arrive back at Trendlebeare Down.
