Moderate 11 miles / 17.7 km
Please note start time of 9.30 which allows us to have lunch at the coast.
A circular route starting from Saltburn. We will head through Rifts Wood, Crow Wood and Skelton on the Cleveland Way, then pick up Trout Hall Lane and skirt North Skelton to Cleveland Street. Passing Lumpsey Mine we carry on to Back Street before dropping down beside the river in Skinningrove for our lunch stop then climbing back up to the cliffs to head back to Saltburn. Most of the walk is on good paths but there are a number of short but steep climbs. It is diificult to book a cafe but there are plenty of choices in Saltburn for those who would like tea (or ice cream!) at the end of the walk.
Meet by the Memorial Garden in Saltburn (on Glenside) Free parking by the road

This is one of hundreds of Ramblers group walks for all ages and abilities every week - all led by our experienced walk leaders. You’re welcome to join us on any of our walks to see if the Ramblers is for you. Then, once you’ve enjoyed the views, fun, exhilaration and good company, it’s just a case of becoming a member.
Do make sure you're fit enough and have the right footwear and clothing for the walk you want to do, though. You can contact the group or leader if in doubt.
