Stobo & John Buchan Way

Group Balerno

Circular walk which leaves from Stobo Church, following the John Buchan Way up Hopehead Burn and passing south of Penvalla hill. The return route is by Tarcreish Woods/Weston Burn to Stobo Castle.

Pleasant walk passing steams, woodland, low hills and farmland with steady, but not steep, ascent, on tracks and paths.  As usual bring poles and gaiters if you use them.

Numbers are limited to 14 on this walk. To register for this walk and book a place, please text the Walk Leader on 07980 377107.

Walkers should continue to carry their ICE (in case of emergency) card, hand sanitiser, medication, plasters etc. The Walk Leader will also have a more comprehensive first aid kit with them.
