Commencing at the Yellow Craig Car Park, the walk route heads inland following the John Muir Way to Dirleton and Gullane. From Gullane we will head over Gullane Hill to Gullane Point in the Aberlady Nature Reserve and then return to Yellow Craig following coastal paths and/or beach walking via Gullane Bay, West Links, Hanging Rocks and Marine Villa. There are panoramic views of the coastline and across the Firth of Forth.
Path surfaces typically sandy, loose in places in the dunes, with occasional uneven rocky/shingle sections. Approx 2 km of tarmacadam pavement. Gradients are typically flat to moderate.
Places are limited. Booking essential.
Appropriate clothing and footwear essential.
Meet at Livingston North Railway Station (NT 036 687) at 9.00am or Yellowcraigs Car Park (NT 516 854) at 10.00am
Parking at Yellow Craig costs £2.50 per day. Tickets can either be purchased from the on-site "pay and display" ticket machines or with cashless payments using RingGo.
