The Sheffield 40s Walking Group formed in 2007 and now has nearly 300 members. We walk mainly in the Peak District and South Yorkshire, usually ending up in a pub. The group is aimed at people in and around their forties/fifties/sixties but anyone over 18 and up for a laugh is very welcome. Our members come from a broad catchment area - from Chesterfield to Nottingham to Doncaster, not just Sheffield.
We offer a programme of Saturday and Sunday walks all year round, featuring longer and shorter walks. There are also evening walks during the lighter months. If the walk description has this symbol then it’s suitable for dogs too. Most of them are.
