Group name: East Surrey Walkers
This group is a part of Surrey Area.
Our activities include:
Path maintenance, Short and easy walks
East Surrey Walkers was formed in 1983, originally as East Surrey Ramblers, and has around 400 members. We are a sociable group whose primary aim is to enjoy walking in the countryside with an interesting variety of scenery; we walk in Surrey, Kent and Sussex.
Each week we offer 3 or 4 walks with a range of distances between 3 and 12 miles. We are also active in protecting and improving the local rights of way network by members volunteering to inspect paths, and also undertaking individual maintenance tasks as well as joining our monthly work party.
We also have a programme of regular social events, and have two walking holidays each year, one abroad and one in the UK.
You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.
