The car park at the Trumpet Major pub off the B3143 on Allington Avenue which is just off the A35. This is a generous offer from the pub as it is right at the start of the route and it would be greatly appreciated if walkers would call in for a drink after the walk. We need to start a little earlier than normal as the plan is to catch the Damory 5 bus back which leaves Kings Statue in Weymouth at 14.35, thus leaving time for an ice cream on the prom. This bus drops us right outside the Trumpet Major so avoids a trek up the hill after the walk from the centre of Dorchester.
