This is a circular walk covering an area from Newtown to Old Burghclere, and passes through Brocks Green and Burghclere. There are some great viewpoints along the route and there’s a wide variety of terrain: plenty of wooded areas, farmland and country lanes – with a few sections on quiet roads. The paths were still relatively mud free on the recce. There are 5 stiles and several inclines but none are onerous. But it would be worthwhile to bring poles if you use them.
There are no facilities on route, but plenty of woodland. This is a picnic walk and please bring plenty to drink.
This walk is not suitable for dogs.
