Overview

Weather permitting,  the views on this walk surpass most. As we head upwards from Gladestry, Hergest ridge and the Kington summits are clear in the foreground with the Malverns in the distance. To the North, Black Mixen and Great Rhos can be seen before heading over the ridge and the panorama of Llandegly rocks and the Cambrian Mountains opens up in front. A detour up to the Caety Traylow trig point sees a 360 vista with the Black Mountains and Pen-y-fan to the South. We even spotted Clee Hill on our way back down.

Mostly easy paths on open moorland.
