Meeting at Knucklas to catch the heart of Wales Line train to Llanbister Road. Then following the Heart of Wales Train Line Trail back to Knucklas.
We will pass through Radnorshire Wildlife Trust site at Pentwyn Farm then ascend a gorge with the river Lugg below. We pass close to the source of the Lugg then walk along the ridge to Wernygeufron Hill. Spectacular views in good weather. Leaving HofW trail at Bwlch y Plain we take in Castle hill (sorry no castle, but some history and great views) at The Knucklas community land project before final descent back to Knucklas station.

An earlier than usual start.
The train from Knucklas is 0930 but it is a request stop, so if the train runs early there is no waiting for 0930 it will just pass straight through. Please be on the platform (there's only 1) at 0920.
It's only a short journey and there may not be time for the guard to take all the fares. Therefore please bring £3 in change which I will collect and pay for us all at once. Any small change left over I will donate to Community Centre for parking.
There is limited parking at the station and some on street parking. The community centre also has a car park.
